(About The Author)
Is there anything more appealing to the taste buds than a bowl full of fresh, crisp salad greens topped with juicy tomatoes, snapping fresh cucumbers, brightly colored radishes and all garnished with your favorite topper?
The only thing that might be just as appealing is a plateful of your favorite fruits coupled with a tasty yogurt dip or tangy cheeses.
We've all had occasion to read books on nutrition, books on health and of course, recipe books.  But, just how easy is it to find a book that covers all three?  Pretty near to impossible!
There are tons of books about nutrition.  There are also hundreds of books on living a healthy lifestyle.  What most of them lack is the correlation between the two.
Sure, we all know how important it is to eat our veggies.  And, there probably isn't a soul among us that doesn't agree that fruits are yummy.
However, do you have any idea of what fruit to eat if you need to reduce diarrhea, control your blood pressure, encourage good heart function, strengthen your bones or help a cough?  Yeah, that's what we thought.
Or how about this one?  What vegetable can help your body lower cholesterol, help protect you against some effects of diabetes, high blood pressure, strokes and retain your skin's smoothness?  Unless you are a nutritionist there's a good bet you won't guess that one either.
But don't worry.  You can find the answers to those two questions (and lots more) in "Fabulous Fruits & Vital Vegetables."
What do fruits and vegetables have to do with the rotten economy?
Okay, so what does healthy nutrition and eating fruits and veggies have to do with the recession, depression or whatever in the heck "session" they're calling it?  If you stop for just a minute or two you'll discover that it has EVERYTHING to do with it.
Look, we all need to cut back and spend less right now, right?  Well, what better way than to cut some of those pricey cuts of meat out of our diets. . .especially the stuff that isn't particularly good for us anyway?  What better way than to increase our intake of foods that are good for us and cost less too!
Also, if the current crunch has you stressing - STOP!  I know, it's easy to tell you to stop stressing over money.  But it certainly isn't going to help your health by a long shot if you continue to stress over what you can't control.  Control what you can.  And, you CAN control your intake of "Fabulous Fruits & Vital Vegetables."
And while you are doing that, you can learn what vegetables and fruits can best keep your body nourished while your brain is going these tumultuous times!  Again, stop focusing on what you CAN'T change and focus on what you CAN change.
Heck, by the time we're through this economic speed bump you'll probably be so happy with the new outlook and body that "Fabulous Fruits & Vital Vegetables" have given you that you'll never go back to the old habits.  And, that's a good thing.
So, do yourself a huge favor.  Stop stressing.  Take control of what you CAN and put less focus on what you CAN'T.  Not only will you enjoy the taste of the new, nutritious lifestyle you'll learn about, you'll know what to eat and when to eat it to control just about any of your physical challenges.
Grab your copy now and let the economy take care of itself while YOU take care of YOU.  You'll be glad you did.  We guarantee it.

Healthy Carbohydrates - What Carbohydrates to Eat and When

Healthy Carbohydrates are not always easy to distinguish from the unhealthy ones but choosing the right type of carbohydrate for your weight loss or health goals can be the difference between reaching your goals and falling short. There are two different types of carbohydrates:
Simple Carbs
- Table sugar
- Corn Syrup
- Fruit Juice
- Candy
- Cake
- Proccessed Carbs - flour, bread
Complex Carbs
- Vegetables and Fruit
- Oats
- Yams
- Beans and Lentils
- Wholemeal bread
- Brown Rice
The Relation between Sugar and Carbohydrates
Sugars and carbohydrates are closely related even though they do appear in different columns on the table of contents. The reason why sugar and carbs are so similar is that they act the same way in the body.
For example if you digest 20g of simple carbs and 20g of sugar they will pushed into the body and produce a insulin spike and a rise in blood sugar. It will also result in unwanted fat gain if the carbohydrates or sugars are not used by the body for energy. This makes it even more important to examine the type of carbohydrates and sugars you are consuming as carbohydrates are the most common culprit for weight gain instead of sugars as most believe.
When to eat SIMPLE and COMPLEX carbs?
The best rule for eating simple and complex carbs is Eat your simple carbs early in the day so you have time to burn them off and complex carbs throughout the day to give your body a steady flow of fuel and nutrients.

Healthy Diet

Healthy diets can mean different things to different people. This is because the things that people enjoy eating can vary as can the things that they are able to eat for a variety of reasons. For example, one person's idea of a healthy eating plan may be plenty of fish and white meat. Another may not like or be able to eat fish or meat and may look at fruits and vegetables as part of a healthy diet.
The key thing about healthy eating is balancing your nutrition. Any healthy eating programme needs to be nutritionally balanced so that you are able to get the necessary vitamins and minerals that you need for good health. It is important to remember that you need a variety of nutrients, vitamins, and mineral in order to maintain good health, which means that it is important to eat a variety of food groups.
Anyone that is unsure with regards to what foods healthy diets are linked with can speak to a nutritionist or diet expert. You can then find out which foods are best suited to your needs as part of your healthy eating plan. By finding out more about healthy diets and what is included in them you have a better chance of devising a diet that is well balance and well suited to your tastes and needs.
It is best to eat a healthy diet alongside a regular exercise programme, as this is something that can help to really boost your health as well as helping you to maintain a healthy body weight. Some people who want to lose weight will embark upon a healthy eating diet and this is sometimes coupled with various slimming pills and weight loss aids for maximum effect.
Eating a diet that is healthy is not only important to promote weight loss and maintain a healthy body weight. It is also vital for overall health. Your diet can affect a range of factors from the appearance of your skin and hair to the effectiveness of your bodily functions such as blood pressure, digestion, and heart function.
For maximum effect when it comes with healthy weight and good health it is best to combine your healthy eating plan with some regular exercise. This will enhance your health and will boost weight loss if you are on a diet. Many people switch to a healthy eating plan in order to lose weight. However, it is important to note that healthy eating is not just a short term thing to help you lose weight but is a change if lifestyle to help you maintain good health.

Tips for Anti-Ageing

Free Radicals or Oxidants accelerate the aging process.
They are
unstable molecules that attack the healthy molecules in our body in search of stability.
They destabilise, damage  or destroy whatever they attack.
In the body,
this process can damage brain cells, lung tissue, blood vessels, and even “mutate” our DNA.
Dozens of studies have shown there is an undeniable link between free radical damage and diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and dementia.

Although the fruit mangosteen is well known in South East Asia, outside of that region, most people
